We will be participating in another great Technospud online project-Alpha-Bits. Our class will be using one 15oz. box of Post Frosted Alpha-Bits and dividing the cereal into 3 groups. Vowels: A E I O U, Consonants: ALL OTHER LETTERS, and Final Group: INDISTINGUISHABLE. We will be trying to see if the sponsoring school's hypothesis is correct:
Over 40%
of all results posted by participating
schools will have more CONSONANTS in their
box of Alpha-Bits than Vowels or Undistinguishable Alpha-Bits.
We also believe that in
the VOWEL grouping,
E will appear the most.
