Greetings from Mrs. Hurleys ESL class.
Our school is located in Northwestern, NJ in Morris County. Our capital
is Trenton. Northern NJ is known for its thousands of lakes and rich
iron ore deposits. Very close to our school is the largest lake in NJ,
Lake Hopatcong. Our town is rich in history because of the iron foundries
that helped the US win the Revolutionary War. Check our towns
history at our town's
web site. Our town is small with a population of 6,000. The two
public schools in our town, grades K-8, house about 560 students together.
Since our town is so small, about 2 square miles, we do not have school
buses. We all walk, ride bicycles or are driven to school.
